Clean Agent Extinguishers

Like CO₂, clean agent fire extinguishers store agent as a liquid under pressure, that turns to gas when it contacts the air. Clean agent extinguishers were developed as a direct replacement for Halon and are effective on Class B and C fires. The Clean Agent does not conduct electricity back to the user making them effective on electrical fires.

Clean agent extinguishers act to extinguish a fire by smothering it (without damaging delicate electronic equipment or leaving a residue). Unlike Halon, FE-36 Clean Agent extinguishers have low global warming (or ozone depletion) potential.
