Like CO2 Clean Agent fire suppressant is stored as a liquid under pressure that turns to gas on discharge to air.  Clean agent extinguishers were developed as an environmentally acceptable alternative to Halon which is now banned in the UK. Clean Agent is effective on Class B and C fires typically petrol, oil, propane, butane etc. 

Clean agent extinguishers act to extinguish a fire by smothering it without damaging delicate electronic equipment external to the fire or leaving a residue.The Clean Agent does not conduct electricity back to the user making them also effective on electrical fires.

Typical applications include Boats, Computer Rooms, Clean rooms, switch rooms and telecomms, Data Storage Areas and art storage rooms.
