Water extinguishersA water extinguisher is for use on Class A fires – those involving wood, paper, plastics, coal and fabrics. On no account whatsoever should water extinguishers be used for fire fighting where live electrical equipment or flammable liquids are involved. This means that water fire extinguishers are best teamed with powder extinguishers and or Co2 extinguishers anywhere that multiple fire risks exist. We offer a range of water fire extinguishers in a number of sizes. Some are stainless steel red label fire extinguishers, others are in the traditional all-red finish. The former are ideal for use in design-led interiors, hospitals and clean room applications where hygiene is paramount. They are not suitable for use on Class B liquid fires e.g. paraffin, petrol, oil based fires, chip pan fires or on electrical fires including where electricity is involved. Water fire extinguisher are colour coded with a red label (not to be confused with the normal red paint finish on the main body of the extinguisher).
