Fire and Safety Centre helps Mulligans reach its defibrillator target

Here at Fire and Safety Centre we are part of the Right Action brand, offering a range of fire, safety and security products and services both locally and nationally.
Recently, we saw a small article in our local newspaper, the Scunthorpe Telegraph, which really caught our interest. It concerned a local sports bar, Mulligans, and their fund-raising efforts in order to purchase a defibrillator for their premises. We were very impressed with how well they were doing, so, to give them a helping hand, we got in touch and supplied them with a ZOLL AED Plus Fully Automatic Defibrillator (and accompanying bracket) at cost, thus forfeiting our profit in the aid of this very good cause. This model is our best selling defibrillator and it works by detecting irregular heart patterns and rhythms, and automatically administering a charge of electrical energy when needed. Thanks to our help, Mulligans purchased and installed the defibrillator a lot quicker than they first envisaged, and we were delighted to help with this.
Matt Crooke of Mulligans, left, and David Holden of Right Action with the defibrillatorMulligans take public safety very seriously, and felt it was only right that they provide a defibrillator to look after their customers and staff in an unfortunate event such as a cardiac arrest. Owner Matt Crooke had this to say:
“Once Right Action became aware of what we were doing, their Commercial Director David Holden generously stepped in and offered to let us have it at cost.” Crooke continued: “It’s part of our social responsibility to have equipment like this. It’s easy to use, and could well save a life. We hope we never need to use it, but we now have the peace of mind of knowing that it’s here should the occasion arise.”
Right Action, on behalf of Fire and Safety Centre, are more than happy to have helped local business Mulligans out with their defibrillator fund-raising event!
