Advanced Safety Systems To Protect Lives

The Phoenix BS1946 Battery Commander Pro is the top of our range, capable of handling larger quantities of lithium-ion batteries. Every aspect of this safe is pushed to the limit with an impressive shelf capacity of 4,500Wh, a huge total battery capacity of 22,500Wh, 569 litres of storage capacity and 5x (8 Gang) power distribution units to safely charge lithium-ion batteries.

Lithium-ion battery fires are especially hazardous, releasing toxic chemicals & gases, potentially cause explosions and burning at up to 1000°C. One battery going into thermal runaway can quickly cause a chain reaction, adding to the intensity of the fire. This means that a dedicated storage solution may be necessary. The Phoenix BS1946 Battery Commander Pro has a range of safety systems and features designed to protect lives by giving early warning of a potential fire and enabling a decisive response.

Features:

  • Double Wall Construction – A double wall construction with its patented Styronite F insulation provides resistance to intense heat and fire as well as lithium-ion battery explosions.
  • Multipoint Locking – High tech, reinforced multipoint locking system steadfastly seals the safe doors, protecting them against incredibly high forces, including those of a lithium-ion battery explosion.
  • Internal Temperature Monitoring System – An internal temperature monitoring system provides early warning of a potentially overheating battery. Once temperatures exceed a threshold, power is automatically cut and a strobe light & audible alarm will activate until the safe returns to a safe working temperature.
  • Integrated Alarm System – The safe can be connected to your building’s fire alarm system to automatically trigger a building wide alarm and alert the fire brigade as soon as the internal monitoring system detects a threat.
  • Trustworthy Certifications – Certified to VDMA 24994:2004-08, EN 14470-1 and NT Fire 017-120p to ensure you are getting a reliable product that will deliver in an emergency.

Delivery

Our standard delivery charge is £4.95 plus VAT for basket values below £100 plus VAT.

For basket values of £100 plus VAT and above, our standard delivery option is FREE.

Please note that for all safe-related products, the standard delivery option is ‘door-to-door’ delivery. This means that the product will be delivered to the outside of the main door of your premises, our couriers will not bring the item inside.

The size and weight of safes means that ‘door-to-door’ delivery is often impractical unless you have industrial machinery to bring the product inside yourself. Consequently, on our product page we offer a possible maximum of two additional delivery variables which you can choose at added cost and which are often more appropriate for large safe items. These options are:

  • Delivery inside with positioning (ground floor or as standard);
  • Delivery inside with boltdown (ground floor or as standard).

Each product page will clearly display the item’s weight under the Specification tab and we would strongly urge you to consider this before selecting your delivery option. Please also be aware that some insurance approvals require safes to be bolted down for them to be valid. Again, this should be considered before purchase.

In addition to these delivery options, it is also possible for us to arrange for more specialist delivery needs. In these cases, please contact our sales team on 01724 281044 to discuss your requirements. Options that may be available to you include:

  • Inside delivery up flights of stairs;
  • HIAB delivery;
  • Timed delivery; and
  • Evening or Weekend delivery slots

This delivery information applies to deliveries to UK mainland areas only. Where your postcode is deemed to be in a non-mainland UK area then a delivery surcharge will apply. You will be notified of the price of this surcharge at checkout and full details on relevant postcodes can be obtained by calling our sales team on the number above.

In addition, there will be some areas where it is not possible to calculate the surcharge through the website, an example is Northern Ireland. In these cases, you will be notified of this at checkout and you should call our sales team on 01724 281044 for a bespoke shipping quote.

EU and international deliveries are possible but will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and orders cannot be placed through the website. Please contact our sales team on the number above in order to discuss your specific requirements.

Delivery will normally be made at any time between 08:00am and 06:00pm, Monday to Friday. It is important to ensure that an authorised person is available to receive the goods. If we are unable to deliver as arranged, then we reserve the right to levy an additional charge for the re-delivery of the items. Special delivery instructions can be provided to us at checkout in order to minimise the possibility of this happening.
