Product Details
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the ‘responsible person’ has a legal duty to ensure there is a safe means of evacuation for all occupants, including those with restricted mobility. Evac chairs may be essential in evacuating individuals with disabilities or mobility issues, however, an evac chair needs to be operated by a trained individual to guarantee their safe and effective evacuation. The ‘responsible person’ is required to provide appropriate training to all staff, including in the operation of evacuation chairs.
Evacuation chair training is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to safely and effectively use evac chairs during emergencies. This training is crucial to ensure workplace safety, especially in multi-storey buildings. Emergency situations can cause a lot of panic, but with the right training, occupants can be evacuated quickly and competently with the help of trained personnel, potentially saving lives. Functions and operation may vary depending on the brand or model of evac chair. This training covers the how to operate Exitmaster Evacuation Chairs.
