The PyroFlow Passive Fire Suppression Granules - 12kg Paper Bag is an effective fire suppressant specifically designed to safeguard against especially hazardous lithium-ion battery fires. It is an environmentally friendly and non-toxic mineral based suppression agent made from expanded glass granulate. The granules are made from small lightweight spheres consisting of foamed recycled glass containing tiny internal pores that form a partially closed cell structure. Its 100% mineral based granules make it non-combustible, essential for suppressing fires and ADR compliance. The PyroFlow Passive Fire Suppression Granules - 12kg Paper Bag is versatile, with many applications, it can be used in many ways as a preventative fire protection measure and as an ADR compliant packaging filler for transporting lithium-ion batteries.

How Do PyroFlow Passive Fire Suppression Granules Work?

Lithium-ion battery fires can burn at very high temperatures of up to 1000°C. When the fire is covered in PyroFlow Granules, the high temperatures melt the granules which absorbs the heat to cool the fire and forms a solid glass barrier. This encapsulates the fire and the impermeable shell formed around the fire load prevents further reaction, curtailing the threat of reignition posed by thermal runaway. During thermal runaway in lithium-ion batteries, toxic gases dangerous to people’s health are released. Another core function of the PyroFlow Passive Fire Suppression Granules is that they effectively bind liquids and filter gases, reducing the spread of these toxic gases.

For basket values of £100 plus VAT and above, our delivery is FREE.

This applies to deliveries to UK mainland areas. Where your postcode is deemed to be in a non-mainland UK area then a delivery surcharge will apply. Delivery will normally be made at any time between 08:00am and 06:00pm, Monday to Friday. It is important to ensure that an authorised person is available to receive the goods. If we are unable to deliver as arranged, then we reserve the right to levy an additional charge for the re-delivery of the items. Special delivery instructions can be provided to us at checkout in order to minimise the possibility of this happening.

Some of the items that we deliver are large and bulky. Unless otherwise stated, the item will only be delivered ‘door-to-door’ rather than being taken inside your premises. Therefore, it is your responsibility to ensure that you have suitable apparatus to handle and move any item that is ordered and delivered to you.
